Booking Reward Flights for Two or More People
BOOKING BASICS · 4 MIN · UK & USMultiply the right price, search for the whole group and avoid counting a shared balance twice.
Search for everyone together
One reward seat appearing in a search does not mean four seats are available at that price. Search for the full passenger count and note the total points and cash quote. Consider nearby dates before splitting a group across separate bookings.
Use a total quote when you have one
The flight explorer multiplies a per-person reference by travellers and directions. If you enter an actual airline quote, enter the entire booking total; it overrides that multiplication. Include the correct airports, cabin and each direction.
Keep balances separate
Enter bank rewards in your selected wallet and only additional points in the airline account field. When the wallet already contains Avios or Virgin Points, exclude the same points from the additional airline balance. Do not assume household pooling or transfers between people are allowed.
Check every booking’s conditions
If a family travels on separate bookings, changes and cancellations may have to be managed separately. Compare baggage and flexibility with the cash alternative, and check any voucher’s passenger and cabin restrictions with the airline.
Common questions
Is a return estimate a confirmed return fare?
No. It doubles a one-way reference as a planning scenario. Both directions still need a real availability search.
