UK or US Card? Choose the Issuing Country First

COUNTRY & TRANSFERS · 4 MIN · UK & US

Language, destination and card country are independent settings. Here is why the distinction matters.

Your destination does not set the transfer table

A UK-issued card still uses its UK rewards rules when you fly to America. A US-issued card does not become a UK programme when you visit London. Choose where your card was issued before comparing partners.

Language changes the interface only

English and Traditional Chinese display the same underlying calculations. Changing the language does not convert GBP to USD, change your issuing country or combine balances. Select the country and reward programme separately.

Check the specific product

Cards within a family can share conversion ratios but earn points at different speeds. Some products also have different transfer ratios. The calculator identifies its supported Chase and Citi products; an unverified ratio remains a request to check the issuer.

Use the loyalty account’s own rules

Airlines using the same currency can still price the same itinerary differently. Partner flights, connections, booking fees and availability need their own check. Compare a complete itinerary, not just a bank-to-airline ratio.

Common questions

Can I use a translated page if I have a US card?

Yes. Language is a display preference. Select US as the issuing country to use the US partner list.
